Junior Knight (Micah Balfour) wants to make lover Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) jealous in EastEnders next week after her engagement to Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt).

Following the reappearance of Cindy’s ex David Wicks (Michael French) in Walford last week, an insecure Ian sought to solidify his relationship with her – unaware that she was currently having an affair with his former stepson Junior.

While Cindy and Junior have been sneaking behind their families’ backs for months now, she was distracted by seeing David again 27 years after their affair, leaving Junior hurt.

In scenes that will air next week, Junior tries to contact Cindy after his engagement, but she avoids his calls.

When he then heads to Beale’s Eels to confront her, Cindy is adamant the matter is over and asks him to leave.

Later, Junior lashes out at Peter Beale (Thomas Law) after he continues to discuss his parents’ engagement and heads to the cafe where he asks Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan-Levy) to join him to get a glass.

In The Vic, Cindy is eager to see Ian and Junior talking as it becomes clear that he intends to play games.

However, her attempts to annoy Cindy do not go as planned when Priya abruptly ends her drinks with Junior after realizing he is not interested, as a justified Cindy looks on.

Junior then ups the ante and invites Peter for a drink while Cindy decides to join them – but things quickly take a turn for the worst…

Is the sordid truth about to come out?

EastEnders airs these scenes from Monday October 14 at 7.30pm on BBC One and from 6am on iPlayer.
